A modern development on the northern edge of Romsey off Winchester Road — newer housing, green spaces, and Abbotswood Junior School.
Abbotswood is a modern residential development on the northern edge of Romsey, built largely from the 2010s onwards on former farmland off the A3057 Winchester Road. It is one of the newest parts of the town, with a mix of houses and apartments, open green spaces, and its own local facilities.
## A Newer Community
Abbotswood was planned with public open space, play areas, and walking and cycling routes running through it, and it includes Abbotswood Junior School. The development sits close to the countryside north of Romsey and gives residents quick access to the A3057 towards Winchester and the M3.
## Getting Around
The development is a short distance from Romsey town centre and railway station. The A3057 provides links north towards Winchester and south into the town, and the surrounding lanes give access to Test Valley villages and countryside walks.
